Upper limb, including arms, elbow, forearm, wrist, and fingers. The upper limb is exposed to various diseases and direct injury. If there is a shoulder or arm injury, or if you have had upper extremity surgery, the doctor may require that you wear a sling to protect your arm as it heals. Arm Sling immobilizes the broken or surgically operated arm in the elbow flexion and shoulder neutral position. Even an arm sling can be used in a paralyzed arm to support the weight of the upper limb and also support the shoulder from subluxation. Arm slings are designed to support the arm with a cast and provide support the arm and distribute the weight across the back and shoulder.
